A couple of thoughts:
I really like how the petals in foreground partially cover up the "core" of the flower. The out-of-focus-ness (Is this a word :-) makes it look like a fluffy blanket. The vibrancy of the colours add to the effect.
Secondly, the way you captured the pistels of this particular flower reminds me of apples at a fruit market. It looks like a basket of Granny Smiths and Red Delicious apples overflowing the display basket. I don't know if this was intentional, but it made for a very interesting composition :-)
