Seashell Study I (Simplicity)

Seashell Study I (Simplicity)

Since now I have a portfolio section I can post my other images in the blog. Hopefully this recent website update will lead to a more interesting and diverse blog.

I seldom shoot objects this way, but when I look at this kind of images I think I should probably do it more often.

I also wanted to than each and every one of you for taking the time to browse the blog and leave comments. I really enjoy them and I love hearing what you think.
Constructive criticism is always welcome. :)

I really like the patterns in the reflections on the background.

Laurie, thank you; it's the sunlight coming in through the blinds.. :)

For something you don't normally photograph, it made a fantastic photo. I lean toward flowers &foods & need to branch out as well. You need not fear. Truly a terrific capture.

Rachael, oh, thank you .. :) I try and post some of my other photography, once in a while, but I think it does not resonate as well...

Wow! It's been a while since I left comments. This shell photograph is awesome! I love how the light hits in parallel at an angle, and how the shell seems to drift on the background. I think when you have sound principles, they can apply to a wide variety of subject matter. Very nice!

the lighting in the background adds so much to this, the shell is crsiply captured and almost seems ot be floating, wonderful work
