What a neat photograph! It looks like grass or some other leafy stalk growing out of an inverted thimble :-) There are several things that caught my eye: the velvety blue background; the light reflecting off of the tip of the pot; the way most of the leaves lean to the left; the out-of-focus leaf in the foreground; the hand-painted bands (well, I assume they are hand-painted) on the pot. Splendid!
