Skansen

Skansen is the oldest open-air museum in the world.
Over the years about 150 historical buildings have been moved here from nearly every part of Sweden. Most of them date from the 18th and 19th centuries. [more info]

Your description of Skansen reminds me of Greenfield Village, which is in the Detroit area near where I grew up. Henry Ford had moved many historical building from around the States to that outdoor museum as well.
I love the way you use shadows. In this photo, the angle makes the shadow look like a reflection of the flower. And then, the shadow is nicely centered on the shutter. Wow, what a touch! The colors of the building complement the colors of the plant very delightfully.
